ABOUT KEUKEGEN IN FOLKLORE:

Despite their apparent cuteness, Keukegen are filthy monsters commonly found in populated areas in Japan. They are the size of a small dog and appear as a mass of long, dirty hair. Keukegen make their homes in cool, damp, dark places; they are particularly fond of living under floorboards and around run-down homes, where stuffiness, moisture, and lack of human activity create the perfect breeding place for sickness. But they are so cute, so who cares?! (Source: Yokai.com).

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Poseable artdoll based on the Japanese Yokai Keukegen.

Each doll stands 30cm (11,8 inches) and have a plastic poseable spine to allow poseability. Their face and eyes are 3D modelled, printed in resin and hand painted with acrylics. Eyes are hand painted and finished using UV resin to give an amazing realistic look.

The body is hand sewn in quality faux fur fabrics following a pattern designed especially for this doll. Each doll is weighted at the bottom for better balance.

Please, notice this is a handmade piece of art and it's delicate. Paintjob can be scratched and resin pieces may break if not handled with care. This is not a toy and it's no suitable for children.

Head, hands and feet are handpainted with acrylic paints.

CUSTOM COLORS

In the pictures you can find a list of all the available fabrics for Keukegen. Most fabrics are limited and available for just one Keukegen and will most probably not be reproduced again.

The face of the Keukegen will be painted matching the selected fabric.

If you want the eyes painted in a specific color, please leave a note when placing the order or send a DM right after your purchase. If no request is received, I will be painting the eyes in a fitting color according to my own aesthetic taste.

Note: Grey Keukegen's eyes will be painted similar to the Keukegen appearing in the pictures unless specified differently by the buyer.

*About shipping*: Registered Mail tracking to places outside the European Union sometimes fails or takes several days to update, since once the parcel leaves Spain, the mailing company in the destination company usually changes the tracking number to one that fits their system and tracking is not always updated with the new tracking number.
